Morgan Taylor is a showrunner and writer whose sharp, witty scripts have redefined what queer comedy looks like on screen. After years writing on broadcast network shows where LGBTQ characters were afterthoughts, Morgan made the leap to independent production — creating the breakout comedy series Rainbow Room, which centers queer joy, complexity, and community with zero apology. Morgan's writing philosophy is built on specificity: the belief that the more particular and honest a story is, the more universal it becomes.
A passionate mentor, Morgan runs a free screenwriting workshop for LGBTQ youth of color in Brooklyn every summer.
